Help Keep Excitement About Books Alive
- Children will be checking books out of our library each week. Share the responsibility in making sure your child brings his/her book back to school on time.
- Help find a "safe" place at home for their library books.
- If a book becomes damaged or lost, send me a note, call me or e-mail me at sbeaupre@stjosephcs.org. I have special materials in the Learning Center to repair books. Please do not try to repair a book at home.
Adopt-A-Book Program
Children’s books are the “door” to adventure for anyone who takes the time to open them. They are a magical union of words, that tell the story and the illustrations fuel the imagination and excite the spirit.
Through the Adopt-a-Book Program, our school provides your students with books to widen their horizons. The Adopt-a-Book program is a special way of helping the library and honoring your child.
We had many books purchased from a selection of books we have chosen to meet the recreational and curricular needs of the students but we still have many more books looking for a special friend. It is a nice way to say to your child “Happy Birthday”, “Happy Thanksgiving” and “Merry Christmas”. A nameplate is placed in the front of the book with your child’s or family's name and your child will be the first to check it out of the library. It is fun when the students find the books that they or their brothers and sisters have donated years before. I would like to thank all the families who have already adopted books.
Come share the fun and excitement of adopting a special book and at the same time you will be helping us improve our library collection. The books available for adoption are on display in the library. Come see Mrs. Beaupre and she will show you all the wonderful books we have to adopt.
