Welcome to a wonderful year of learning about the Spanish language and the cultures and geography of 20 countries and Puerto Rico.

I look forward to working with the students at St. Joseph to get them excited about learning another language.

Here are some ways parents can help make this a positive experience for their children:

*Find words written in Spanish outside of school (such as Lowe’s)

*Reinforce vocabulary at home by playing games such as BINGO or making flashcards

*Find Spanish–speaking countries on maps, globes, or the internet

*Talk about travel experiences or future job possibilities

I have set up a registry with Teacher’s Discovery as a wish list for the Spanish Language program at

St. Joseph. Some of the items are small, such as stickers or pencils while other items are a little more expensive. If you would like to purchase any items, please give my name, Selin Hensley, and school name.
