About
Mrs. Cabrera
Hello, I am Mrs. Cabrera and I would like to welcome everybody to my "about me" webpage.
I was born in Louisiana and moved to Jacksonville shortly after, where I was raised on the west side of Jacksonville. I developed my passion for music at an
early age singing for the Sacred Heart Choir, which led to me learning to play piano and flute. I attended Bishop Kenny where I was part of the school band
and choir. I attended Jacksonville University (JU) where I
earned my Bachelor of Arts in Music. While attending JU, I was part of the Wind
Ensemble, the Orchestra,

and the Percussion Ensemble. I was also part of the Jacksonville Symphony Chorus for two years.
This is my fifth year teaching music at St. Joseph's Catholic School. I married my husband, Jorge, in 2010
and we have a lovely son, Arturo. I love being a member of the faculty and I love sharing my passion for music to all of my students!
