Battle of the Books
Battle of the Books is a voluntary reading incentive program for students in grades 6-8. The purpose is to encourage students to read quality books and have fun while competing with peers.
A student participates by reading from the book list provided by the Diocesan Media Specialists. Students form teams or may be added to a team and earn points by answering question about the books on the book list. They play several rounds competing against other teams. At the end of the allotted time, points are totaled. The winning team will participate in the Diocesan Battle of the Books on March 1.
Practices will be in the library from 3:00 to 4:00. Dismissal will be at Pt. A. You must come to a practice at least once a week. The school battle will be Friday, March 16, in the school library from 11:00—12:00. On Wednesday, March 21, we will go to Holy Spirit at 10:00 for the Diocesan Battle.
