About Mrs. Kersten

       I am very excited about teaching your children and look forward to getting to know each of them.  Your children are my priority and I know that they are yours as well.  I will do my best to ensure that your child has a great year in Kindergarten.

       I would like to tell you a little about myself.  I grew up in the Air Force and lived in several different states.  I received my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma and, soon after graduation, moved to Jacksonville to begin my teaching career.  I have four children, a daughter who still attends St. Joseph Catholic School, a son who is a freshman in high school, a son who is a junior in high school, and a son who is a sophomore in college.  Although this is my fourth year to teach in the Diocese of St. Augustine, I have had the privilege to be part of the staff at St. Joseph’s for the past six years.  This is an excellent school and I am proud to be included in the St. Joseph’s family.
