The scrip program is a simple way for you to help St. Joseph School while also helping yourself. Local and national businesses donate money back to our school every
time you shop or use their services. You can use scrip everyday, and it makes a great gift.
Each business has a profit level assigned to the
scrip, ranging from 1.5% up to 25%. When you buy scrip, the
percentage is applied to your purchase to determine the amount of the donation. Half of the amount goes to the
school and half goes into your personal account at the school. The money
in your account can be directed toward school fees and tuition. Here is a
very small sample of the 100+ participating businesses: |

| As an example, assume that
you spend $200 per month at Winn Dixie, $25 at Chili's, $25 at the
Gap,
and $10 at The Loop. The total profit for the month would be: |

| $200 * 5% = |
$10.00 |
| $25 * 11% = |
$ 2.75 |
| $25 * 9% = |
$ 2.25 |
| $10 * 10% = |
$ 1.00 |

| The total donation for the month would be $16.00. Half of
this amount would go the school and half would go to you. This would give
you $8.00 per month, or $96.00 for the year, which would pay for part of your annual
registration fee. As this simple example shows, you can easily benefit from scrip just by using it as part of your normal shopping routine. |
